Salt Spring Island Ales is now hiring for a seasonal position from May to September. This role is ideal for an individual looking for a fun, balanced and fast-paced work environment on beautiful Salt Spring Island. 28-32 hours a week with weekends off.

Brewery helper and bartender

Position Overview

Our ideal candidate will be available Monday-Thursday with opportunity to work more. The position offered is Monday & Tuesday tending bar in our tasting room and Wed & Thursday helping our brewer with tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Brewery Helper:

  • Assist with general brewery operations and cleaning

  • Support the brewing team as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Deliveries

Server / Bartender:

  • Provide friendly, efficient service to guests

  • Serve beer and other beverages responsibly

  • Maintain cleanliness of the tasting room and service areas

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Reliable and team-oriented

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer service experience is an asset

  • Serving It Right certification preferred for Server/Bartender (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must have driving license and comfortable doing deliveries on and off island when needed

  • Able to lift 80 Lb +

Experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidates. We are only considering candidates willing to work in both bar and brewery.
